The Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India issues machine printed passports to Indian citizens all over India. Passports are issued out of 31 locations within India and a number of embassies and consulates all over the world.

The software for this has been developed by WESRA. This software is now in use at all locations where the MEA issues machine printed passports. This software is precision security printing software that prints the desired data with an accuracy 0.2 mm on inkjet printers. Security information is also embedded within the printed data.
