WESRA India Pvt. Ltd. started off in January 1995 as Unadkat Infosearch Pvt. Ltd. (UIPL) The primary focus area at that time was software development and technology research.

The UIPL was quite against the concept of sending programmer abroad for work. Company policy was to focus on development on the Indian shores and largely in areas where the company could contribute not just with its software development expertise but also with its understanding of business and various industries.
